Beneath the Surface - Mechanical
Some artists have incredible imaginations and are able to combine elements of themes to create something 'surreal'. The ability to create something original from several different components is very commendable.
Engines alone are quite beautiful works of art with so many small components built up to make something functional.
Mechanical items could include a wide range of subject matter such as robotics, engineering and anything with mechanisms that create something functional or that can move.
Machinery has a wealth of uses in the world of industry but many artists have used the shapes and movement to inspire their work.
Clocks, cogs and their mechanisms have been used in the past and still today to depict time within art work. They are used often in vintage style work as the full clock or even the cogs themselves.
